If somebody wants to build a business with free advertising, they have to look at it as they do everything else. Those who make the most money with free advertising are the people who completely immerse themselves in the task.

Study the market carefully. Go to the library and look at magazine back issues. Read the articles and get a feeling for what kind of articles that publication runs. This is how to know what a particular editor likes - and doesn’t like.

This knowledge is worth BIG money! Why? The more the editor likes what you send, the higher the chances it will get into the magazine!

Do this with as many different magazines as you can, and you can create a mailing list of publications you plan to send publicity releases to. Then, send your publicity releases to the publications you chose.

The key is to search out websites that are in the market that you are in. This is so you have people (when you’re advertising and when you’re telling people about these interviews on your website) that it’s an interview with a person who they would be interested in hearing an interview from.

Again, we think that the best way to do this is to not list entire interviews. However, you could probably go back and archive them after you’ve gone ahead and published the entire interview. Maybe, if you’ve interviewed a certain website owner and you have ten pages worth of interview notes, maybe you only publish one page at a time. Maybe you could publish a page a day, or maybe publish a couple three pages every week.

Another take on this would be to turn the interview into audio tapes that you could give away. You could put them together in a package and sell them or make an audio newsletter. Each interview you do could be made into one audio tape. You could give them away. Maybe people would pay you a couple of dollars for shipping and handling on the tape. Maybe on the outside of the packaging you could list your website.

Then, of course, on the interview you could mention that you are the owner of such and such a website and give your website address throughout the interview or at the beginning and end of the interview. Use it as a vehicle to bring people to your website, also.

Again, it sounds like maybe it’s an idea that would take a little time, and the energy would be spent in e-mailing and talking to the people and interviewing them. It’s something that we think could really drive sales and people to your website. People are interested in hearing success stories and hearing from other Internet marketers and website owners who have been successful. They like to hear those stories. It is kind of like the Chicken Soup books. They’ve done so well because they’re just these stories about people on various topics. We think that it would really help people identify with you and your website and it could really help drive sales your way.

Let’s say you get an offer that says something like, “What are the top three words that if you tell it to someone they’ll immediately hand you a $100 bill?”

Immediately, you want to know what those three words are. It’s captured your curiosity and you’re willing to pay $30, $40, $50 bucks just to figure out what in the heck those three words are!

When you 'cut to the chase," a news release story printed by a magazine really is just a third party endorsement. This is especially true when you are coming up with products and services for a niche market where people have something in common and read certain specialized publications.

People develop special regard for these publications. They trust these publications, and they don’t care about the advertisements in the magazine most of the time. They read for the articles and the subjects in the magazine that garner their attention.

Whatever market you are in, you can find discussion forums in your market, and they are easy to find just by searching the web sites that your market caters to. There are lots of them out there.

Basically, a discussion forum, if you are not familiar with them, is kind-of like a bulletin board where people come and chat, except it’s not in real time. You don’t actually see responses live, although it’s almost instantaneous. If it is a marketing forum, for example, there would be a list of people who posted questions and then people who answered the questions, so that you would see them in a streaming format.

At the very top of the page is the most recent question that they posted or a comment that they had, and then underneath that you’ll see a list of people who responded to that and their messages. You can click on it, read the full question, and you can read the full response.

Now, what you can do to use this to your advantage and to drive people to your web site for years to come, is you can actually start participating in these discussions that are related to your market.

There are three different kinds of people that visit discussion forums. The first kind are the people that ask questions. The second are people who answer questions. The third is the person who doesn’t ask or answer, but they visit the web site and read the questions and the responses. What most of these people do, if you notice, at the end of your response or your questions - every time you make a statement on there - what you can actually do is enter the name of your web site and a brief, one-line classified ad about your web site.

One of the best utilizations of this technique we have seen was in an ad for a business course. A man was stating how great his home-business opportunity was, and how it had made him hundreds of thousands of dollars. He went on and on about all the things it could give those who bought and used it.

Then they had supplied a second party endorsement - written by the man’s wife! In her piece she said that she used to get annoyed at him for his “laziness” . . . she was always nagging him to get a regular job, etc. - then he came across this and she was proven wrong.

There are a lot of customers out there in the business opportunities market that face this life - they’re looking for something that can allow them to make a lot of money without needing a regular, nine-to-five job. They end up facing the criticism of their spouses, their families, their friends - who constantly tell them to “quit dreaming and enter reality.”

They see that this fellow went through it to, and they instantly identify with him. Then they read that a major skeptic - not unlike their own spouses and families - admits she was wrong about her husband’s passions and is now very happy, and it instantly takes care of any questions of skepticism!

The Secret Authors And Publishers Have Been Using For YEARS To Bring In Even More Money – Without Having To Write ONE SINGLE NEW WORD!

The most successful authors and publishers continually bring out reissues of older volumes or combine the best together. Look at the “best of” albums that are released by every major recording artist. They put out five albums and then they release a “best of” album. These “best of” collections are simply songs pulled off previous releases to create a new product.

The best example I can think of comes from years ago - about 27 years ago, in fact. A friend of ours was involved in a limited edition chat book series featuring famous science fiction authors. He was doing an original story for each little chat book. He didn’t have much money, but he did have a lot of determination at that age.

Asimov had his marketing all figured out for that story long down the road. He just thought that our friend’s idea was a neat way to launch it.

I know that when I created my first product someone asked me, “Will each chapter stand alone as a separate product?” I said, “What? I never even considered that fact.” They said, “Yeah, look at it this way. Write your book but make sure you get at least eight or nine separate products out of that, even just printed products.”

Can you take chapters out of that publication, retitle them, and allow them to stand alone? If you can’t then go back and look at what you plan to do, because you should get another six or eight products out of that. That was my first exposure to this idea. It’s like it never even crossed my mind that it would have multiple uses.

It’s a tremendous concept - if you do ten chapters and they stand alone in addition to getting ten products you can also take those ten chapters and turn them into ten articles in magazines. Just tell the magazine publishers either on-line or off, that at the end of the article you want a resource box that tells people this is a chapter from your book, and that it’s just a small percentage of the book. If they send $29.95, you’ll send them the complete book.

The way most of these programs work is that when they started out, you signed up as an affiliate and when you got people to go to that site you got a commission check. Simple as that.

How To Instantly Make Up To Three Times More Money!

Successful direct-response marketers have figured out that their headline is responsible for up to 75% of the responses they receive. This means that you can make up to three times more money just by having a good headline, or a better headline than you are currently using!

This is good news for you because head-lines are fast and easy to write! And, they are usually inexpensive to change in your sales letter!

To realize how powerful a headline must be, look at a daily newspaper. They compete with many other newspapers, so their headline must attract readers to their newspaper first!

The purpose of your headline is to pick out the people who are interested in your product or service. This is how you can attract the most qualified customers. It is like the billboard on the highway that tells people to get off now for a quality motel. If you are tired and it is late at night, you will consider stopping there.

Headlines are often done the wrong way, though. Many businesses try to use a headline to attract the large, mass audience. This is wrong. Although a headline should be used to attract a large number of prospects, it should be focused so that it only attracts qualified prospects. Your headline should be specific enough so that the reader can know what you are trying to tell them.

Go back to that billboard example. If you were driving down the highway and you ran across a billboard that read “Stop Here To Find Out Why You Should Stop Here!,” would you stop? Probably not. The same thing is true with your headlines! They must be specific enough to target your market!

Work on your headlines right now. Grab a scratch pad and start coming up with as many headlines as you can. Then, after you have written down as many as you could think of, start eliminating the really bad ones. Then, eliminate the kind of bad ones. Then, the kind of good ones. Then you will eventually eliminate all but the really hot ones! These are the ones you should test! You may find that you have written the perfect headline that will increase your profits by up to three times!
