Every message you post at the bottom has this little two-line tag line. “Oh by the way, interested in some business opportunity? Interested in making more money at home so you can paint more often?” Add your tag line with your link to your Website. That’s not considered an ad in these news groups. That’s just a tag line at the bottom. As long as you don’t get carried away with it, it’s a perfectly legal and acceptable way to do it.

You’re providing a service to the people that go to the news group! It’s more of a soft sale than anything. Then the hard sale can be done once they go to your Site! You can do whatever you want to do! You have to be careful about not blatantly trying to sell to people. First of all, it’s a turn-off to all the people on the news groups. Second of all, the owners will kick you off. But then when they come to your Website, you can do whatever you want with them.

If you just get on there and post ads, on most news groups you can get yourself kicked off or locked out. Or what people will do individually is, they’ll set their e-mail filter to ignore anything from your e-mail address when they’re browsing that news group. Today with Desktop Publishing, I can sit down and design and do the typesetting and do everything I need for all my sales letters. But we’ve chosen to stick with professional typesetters and design people and layout people.

Many times a business will tell a customer that their regular price is $195, but they are selling it today only for $29.95. The customer questions why a product that should normally sell for $195 is selling for less than 30 bucks. If you had this offer, you need to tell them why you can do this. You must give them every reason to believe in you and your product. Give them a good list of benefits, and then back it up with your product. Sometimes offering a good, honest money-back guarantee is all it takes to make your customer believe you.

We are trying to communicate in as clear a way as possible. Whenever we have a choice between using a one syllable word or a two syllable word, we use the one syllable word. We’re in the business of making it as easy for the reader to read our sales messages as we possibly can.

When you’re writing your promotional copy you should keep the P.A.S. formula in mind. After years and years of testing and use, the P.A.S. formula has been very successful, and made millionaires out of many marketers - including us. It could do the same for you, too!

Here’s how the P.A.S. Formula can help you get rich. P.A.S. is an acronym - it stands for Problem, Agitate, and Solve. When you’re using the P.A.S. Formula in promotional copy, you are following a specific pattern.

It works in copy this way - first, you introduce the problem that your market has - the problem that your product helps defeat.

Next up is the Agitate phase. Now that you’ve mentioned the problem, you make the prospect feel the weight of the problem - you might give specific examples of how inconvenient, unproductive, or annoying it is. This reminds the prospect how much he or she dislikes this problem themselves, and it prods their emotions.

By now, they’re annoyed at the difficulties caused by the problems. Now, you pop us with the Solve stage. You just happen to have a product that is really good at stopping the problem from happening! It doesn’t cost a lot of money, and it comes with all sorts of free goodies . . . and so on.

Now they’re happy to see what you have to offer, and they see that they’ll actually get more than they want if they buy your solution, so in theory they become excited and order what you have to offer!

You could make a lot of money with joint venture opportunities on the Internet.

We know of companies in California, Minnesota, and Florida that have made fortunes doing nothing but joint ventures. They do very little marketing other than to get other people to do the marketing for them.

Here’s how it works. You’ve got a product to sell. It could be books, manuals, CDs, videos, music, software, novelties, or toys. It doesn’t matter, the point is, you’ve got something to sell.

Next, you use the Internet yellow pages, the search engines, and other means to locate as many sites as you can that sell similar items to what you’re selling - not the same items, but related items. Then you offer your product to them, making it very desirable for them to sell your product on their site.

Let’s say it’s an information product you want to sell for fifty bucks, or maybe $49.95. Hopefully, it only cost you a few dollars to produce this product. Your next step is to offer it to all these other sites. There might be hundreds and hundreds of them. Give them the opportunity to sell your product. You make it very enticing. You give them a big discount, at least 50%, maybe even 60% or 70%. You want to get them excited about selling your product because they know, and you know, it will relate to their customers that come to their site.

Get two or three hundred sites to sell your fifty dollar product and you get $20 for every sale. You can sweeten the deal by saying they don’t even have to stock this because we will stock and ship the product. You could make thousands and thousands of dollars of extra revenue every month off your 200 sites. This would not be difficult to get if you made $20 per sale and the site made $30 per sale. All they would have to sell is one item per week. And there are so many sites out there on the net, you could potentially find hundreds, or even thousands of sites all perfect to contact about selling your product!

Some of these people are going to come back to you and say, “You want us to sell your product, we have a very good product and, if you have a site of your own, we’d like you to sell it on your site.” Well, that’s okay, too. Then you make money both ways. You can sell something you know your customers want and make a nice commission for every sale. The main thrust of this idea is to get hundreds of sites if possible (as many as you can) to sell your product. Give them a big mark-up. It costs you nothing to do this, except for some telephone calls or some e-mail. It’s a win-win proposition - it’s how you can get other Internet users to help make you RICH!

Let’s give you a quick example of how this benefits the person who is an affiliate in one of these two tier programs. Let’s say, for example, that there’s an informational product selling for $100. Let’s say in the standard affiliate program that you get signed up with, whenever you send someone to that site through your link you get $50 of that sale. You keep half.

Let’s say you make one sale a day. You get one person a day going to that site and purchasing it every single month. So you’re making $50, half of the $100 retail amount, every single day for thirty days. With that one affiliate program you would be making about $1500 a month. Not too bad!

Now let’s look at what can happen with the two tier program. Let’s say in the same example you have a $100 retail product - $50 for every sale that you make - but let’s say that when you sign up affiliates and they make sales, they keep $50 but you get $20 from every sale that they make.

Now remember, they’re not actually making sales and you’re not actually making sales. The affiliate web sites are making the sales, but the sales are coming through links on their sites. Now let’s say that you have just fifty people that have signed up as affiliates under you, and each one of those people make an average of about a sale a day.

Let’s just do this on a monthly basis. Fifty affiliates who are making one sale a day, and you’re getting $20 per sale - it adds up very quickly. In fact, that adds up in one month’s time to $30,000. With the power of the two tier program, you go from $1500 to a potential $30,000 and that’s with just fifty affiliates that have signed up under you, making one sale a day of a product.

That’s the power of the two tier program, and it’s why a lot of affiliate programs are getting into it. If you do have an affiliate program, this is something you might want to look into. It’s as easy as creating an affiliate program. You have just created a system where you are now letting people - paying people - to sign up other affiliates.

One of the problems some of these affiliate programs had was when they would send people to that affiliate site was that they would become very angry because it was easy for people that they sent there to also become affiliates. Now, all of a sudden, they’ve got all this competition and they’re not profiting from any of that competition. Well, now they are!

By paying these people to sign up as many affiliates as possible, you are now forcing them to create an army of people for your affiliate program. It is a great way to pay the people who are helping you and to really create an army without doing any marketing yourself!
