Now we’re going to teach you how to use a tiny piece of paper that only costs a penny, or maybe just a little bit over a penny, to drive people to your web site and build your business!

This tiny piece of paper is called a web card. It is very similar to a postcard, except it is only designed to drive people to your web site. Web cards do this two ways: 1) get people to come to your web site who have never done business with you before, and 2) get those people to come back again and again and again.

These little web cards can build your entire business for you! Here’s an important lesson we want you to really understand. Business can be very complicated and if you go to a bookstore or a library and start looking for books and information on business, you can become very confused in a short period of time.

There are all kinds of experts out there and they’re all sharing different ideas on what it takes to make money in business. But we want to say this: there are really only three ways to build your business. That’s it – just three ways.

First, you can get more customers to do business with you the first time. So right now, if you’re bringing in 1,000 customers a month, and you bring in 2,000 customers a month by changing your marketing system, you’ve doubled your business.

Second, you can sell to those customers more often. So right now, if the average customer buys from you twice a year, and you get that customer to buy from you four times a year, you’ve doubled your business. It’s just as simple and easy as that.

Third, you can sell those people higher priced items with bigger profit margins attached to those products and services. For instance, right now if the average sale you are making to your customers is $100, when you average out the number of customers you have and then you take your gross sales for that year, if you just increased that to $200 for the average sale, you’ve doubled your business.

And it’s really that simple. There are lots of different marketing strategies that can be used to bring about those three things, but once you realize how simple it is and that there are only three things, it makes your job so much easier. You can hone in on those three areas.

The best advice that we can give you is to do a little bit toward each of those three areas. Strive to bring in more new customers, strive to sell to those people more often, and also sell larger ticket items to those people.

Your web card can do all three of those things!

You can use it to attract new customers to your site, you can make them special offers and put sales materials there that is geared toward people who have never done business with you, you can use it to sell to people more often and just stay in touch with them.

Send them this simple post card that just compels them to go to your web site. That is the only purpose of the web card. You’re only trying to do enough to get them curious and go to your web site.

If you try to tell people too much on your card, then you give them no compelling reason to go to your site. You can send people a card every two weeks for dirt cheap, and get them to revisit your site for some kind of special offer. Make it secretive. Do it semi-blind - that’s what we call it - where all you’re really trying to do is just get them so curious they can’t wait to see what it’s all about. Then you can use this very simple web card to sell high priced offers to your customers.

Think about those little web cards as being something that gives you a tremendous amount of leverage. Your web site can contain huge amounts of sales material, but the actual card that you use to drive people to your site can be very, very small. Your web site gives you enough potential selling power to do a complete selling job on even the most expensive of products or services.

Then when people sign up, you’re going to collect all their information - their email address, their name, even their mailing address so you can send some postcards about offers to them and such. Get as much information as you want from people. Then you will in turn give them a secret password that allows them to get into that special web site or page on your web site for members only.

You can have a special place on the web site for members that gives maybe your best marketing secrets or whatever your web site happens to be. They should be tips that aren’t available to anybody else. Maybe you could have a weekly newsletter that you could have available, instead of actually sending it. Or maybe you could send it to the people, maybe you also have it where they can come to your web site, use the password, and each week they can log in and receive a special newsletter right over the Internet.

People love belonging to something private. They love to belong to a club. Just as with the Highlander Club and Agora, it has been proven time and time again that when you actually change your offer to be a club or a membership, the response just goes through the roof. It is going to help you double or even triple your profits really quickly, just by changing the wording and making it a club.

The advantage to giving away the free membership is that you can get a large number of people to visit your web site more frequently. If you are actually charging for this you still could make a lot of money and you could do really well for yourself, but it might take a lot longer for you to build up a member base.

If you are giving it away free, you can actually build a huge list of subscribers - people who are actually getting this information free with your web site through this membership. You could have thousands, tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of people in a relatively short amount of time sign up to take advantage of your free membership.

Now, obviously, the benefit to having that is, first of all, you can have them coming to your web site more frequently. So when they’re coming to your web site, they can see the products, and the more exposed to it they are the more likely they are to buy your products. So, of course, you’ll benefit that way.

One other less obvious way you can benefit is to sell advertising to other businesses so that they can advertise on your web site. If you have a special “Members Only” page, you could actually sell banner ads on that page. If you have a newsletter that goes out exclusively to members, you could sell advertising in that newsletter or ezine, as some people call them. There are lots of ways to sell advertising as well.

It is a great way to get people back to your site over and over again. Get them to feel good about doing business with you. They are part of something elite, something that they can be proud of and feel like they really belong in.

5) You’ll get a flood of calls from the ad above. Believe me, there are many people who want to get paid to write. Just take the calls and pick the best person. Pay them $10.00 for every 8 ½” x 11” single space page they write for you.

6) Give them the advertisement and the list of 50 main benefits you’ve already written to sell the book. Tell them to write a book that clearly delivers all these promises. They can write 2 pages on each one of your 50 main benefits. Give them several similar books they can use for reference material. Tell them they can use the main ideas in these books - but must never copy anything word for word.

7) They will write around 100 pages. At $10 a page, your cost will be $1,000 for a product that could sell for many years. This can be typeset into a smaller 6” x 9” book that will give you about twice as many pages.

Simplicity is a simple way to get more people to respond to your offer. The easier it is for people to respond, the more likely it is that they will respond.

If your customer reads your sales letter, and is really excited, then gets to the order form, what happens? You could start out with 1,000 people who read your sales letter. Then, if they have to mail in the order, some will drop out. If they have to put a stamp on it, still more will drop out. Then, if they actually have to get it to the post office, still more will drop out. You will have lost a lot of people along the way who intended to order your product.

Think of how many sales you could have saved if the customer could have simply picked up the phone and called with their credit card. The answer is that quite a lot of those sales could have been saved!

Whatever product you are marketing, make sure that you have as many ways as possible for your customers to respond. The three most common ways to accept orders are:

1. By Mail - with either cash, check, money-order, or credit card.

2. By Phone - with credit card

3. By Fax - with credit card.

Some companies now even accept checks by fax and phone! In the future, there will be more and more ways for you to make it easier to accept orders. Right now people are starting to use the Internet! In closing, you should try to come up with as many ways as possible to take your customer’s order! The more options they have, the more money you will make!
