The P.A.S. Formula: How It Can Help You Get Rich!
When you’re writing your promotional copy you should keep the P.A.S. formula in mind. After years and years of testing and use, the P.A.S. formula has been very successful, and made millionaires out of many marketers - including us. It could do the same for you, too!
Here’s how the P.A.S. Formula can help you get rich. P.A.S. is an acronym - it stands for Problem, Agitate, and Solve. When you’re using the P.A.S. Formula in promotional copy, you are following a specific pattern.
It works in copy this way - first, you introduce the problem that your market has - the problem that your product helps defeat.
Next up is the Agitate phase. Now that you’ve mentioned the problem, you make the prospect feel the weight of the problem - you might give specific examples of how inconvenient, unproductive, or annoying it is. This reminds the prospect how much he or she dislikes this problem themselves, and it prods their emotions.
By now, they’re annoyed at the difficulties caused by the problems. Now, you pop us with the Solve stage. You just happen to have a product that is really good at stopping the problem from happening!
