When you’re writing your promotional copy you should keep the P.A.S. formula in mind. After years and years of testing and use, the P.A.S. formula has been very successful, and made millionaires out of many marketers - including us. It could do the same for you, too!

Here’s how the P.A.S. Formula can help you get rich. P.A.S. is an acronym - it stands for Problem, Agitate, and Solve. When you’re using the P.A.S. Formula in promotional copy, you are following a specific pattern.

It works in copy this way - first, you introduce the problem that your market has - the problem that your product helps defeat.

Next up is the Agitate phase. Here is the way they have it set up. When someone orders their product online, they have their auto-responder set up so that it does two things. First of all, it immediately sends them back a confirmation that their order was received and thanks them for their order. That is done automatically by the auto-responder.

Then, maybe five or ten days after that, another message will go out to that customer and say, “Hey, I’ve got some great updates for you. We’ve done some research. We’ve found some other products out there that you might be interested in.” It lists five or ten different back end offers.

Some companies just send out one back end offer using an auto-responder. Some give their customers a choice of five or ten different offers. The great thing about this is, you can set up your auto-responder to send out that back end offer whenever you want to. You can send out multiple back end offers.

Many times a product you think should sell well doesn’t. A line of products that doesn’t sell can be a major expense and headache. Here are seven quick things we’ve done to turn this expense into big profits. You can use them, too:

1. Use it in your back-end offers. If you are offering a variety of products, switch it from front-end to back-end. This simply means that you sell it to existing customers who have already done business with you.

2. Do price change testing. Is your price too low? Too high? Test your price. Sometimes a price change will increase your sales and profits.

3. Try different media. Is your profit margin too low for direct mail? Try space ads or card decks.

4. Reposition your offer. Look for a niche that is not filled by similar offers. Instead of mass appeals, target a select group.

5. Promote a more appealing benefit. Does your copy promote the primary benefit? Have you included all the benefits? Is your current appeal targeted to the right audience?

6. Take a closer look. Can your product be changed to give it a more competitive edge? Can you add bonuses? Or some type of service after the sale? Think! An original idea could give your sales and profits an immediate boost.

Now I would like to share one of my best money making formulas. This is something that we have worked on for a number of years. We call it “The Internet Money Machine Formula!”

Follow these four things that I am going to cover. They’re the four M’s of your money machine. You could turn your Internet marketing business into a virtual cash machine that just cranks out money day and night, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year... if you’ll follow this advice!

Here it is. There are four key areas that you need to focus on to build your Internet Money Machine, and they all start with “M” so it is an easy formula to figure out.

M Is For MARKETING

First up is marketing. Marketing is all the things that you do to attract new customers and get those customers to do business with you again and again. All of us are in the marketing business - every company.

I am reading this great book right now in which they talk about the fact that there are 22,000 kinds of businesses that this one author has been able to determine. I promise you, all those businesses are a little different, but they all have one thing in common. They all have to center on marketing, and using the techniques that attract new customers and get them to come back.

You can use a lot of different techniques, but you have to focus on marketing.

Look for those things that are making other people a lot of money, and then model your business after those things. Don’t try to be a pioneer because the pioneers all get scalped. Do what other people are doing to make money, and you’ll make money.

M Is For Margins

The third “M” is margins. You’ve got to charge the highest prices possible, and they have to be the right prices. You can’t just have a high price for a high price’s sake. You have to test different prices, but always look for what the highest price is that’s going to give you the most overall sales and profits. You have to keep your eye on those margins and keep your eyes on the numbers.

You can’t build on chaos. You can’t grow your company on chaos.

Good management stabilizes your entire business. You’ll know your numbers. If you don’t have organizational skills, you need to find somebody that does so you can get some help you in those areas.
If you just focus on those four “M’s,” you could quite possibly build an Internet cash machine that will crank out money over and over.

In this article I’d like to go over some tips on the writing process. I know that’s something that we’ve all been working at avoiding. At some point, almost no matter what you’re going to create you’re going to have to do a little writing, whether it’s an introduction, a summary, a cover, or whatever.

For many people that is just a point of tremendous fear. The hard part about writing is getting started. Talk to anyone you know. I bet if I talked to any one of our most successful marketing friends and ask, “What was the hardest part of the whole project?” They’ll say, “Just getting started.”

Sitting down with that paper and computer, or that blank screen in front of you and getting the first words on paper is always the hardest moment. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced writer or beginner, you still have the same fear.

Develop a strong Unique Selling Position (U.S.P.). This is a proven way you can dominate your market. Most businesses are weak in this area. There’s no compelling reason to do business with them.
