There are a couple of other advantages to an affiliate program. A great analogy is shelf space. In a store the more shelf space you get, the better your sales. Like in the grocery industry they pay a premium to get more shelf space. More visibility. Sometimes they come up with more versions of the same product to get more space on that shelf.

Fortunes Are Found Through Accidents - And Even Failures!

Here’s one thing that is going to erase people’s fear of failure. Most really excellent brand new ideas that nobody ever thought of before were accidents. The person made a mistake and did something different or “wrong” and found out that it really worked well.

23 Rules For Writing “Killer” Headlines!

Following are 23 rules you can use to write headlines that will reach out and force the prospect to read your advertisement:

1. Your headline must offer something that your target market wants very badly.
2. Your headline must include something of self-interest to the reader.
3. If your product is new or improved, say so in the headline.
4. Do not just invoke curiosity in your headline, you must also include something of interest to the reader.
5. Avoid negativity in your headline. Always turn the negative into a positive statement.
6. Your headline should suggest a quick and easy way to achieve the benefit(s) stated
7. Your headline should be believable.
8. Determine what would make you buy your product, and then try to incorporate that idea into your headline.
9. Avoid making your headline so short that you don’t get the main point across.

You Could Bring In Thousands More Than You Give Away ... With Sponsors!

You make your money by having sponsors for that contest. On the page where they register, you could sell different size ad spots or you could stick with one universal size ad from the sponsors.

If you had ten sponsors paying $250 each, you would make $2,500 minus the $1,000 you gave away. That would leave you with $1,500 profit. If you add 25 sponsors at $250 each, you’d make $6,250 minus your $1,000 prize - you would have $5,250 in profit left over.

You can make tremendous money with this. There are many different options.

You could have a contest form in the center of the web page where they fill out their registration for the prize. There you’d have the regulations and the rules that they needed to abide by. You could also have the form that they fill out to send the information to you. Along the edges of your computer monitor, you could put all of the various banner ads.

Now you could limit it. You could give people bigger ads. You could do small ads.

You could have only text ads and fill the space with dozens and dozens of ads. There’s probably no limit depending on the size you want to go with of the number of ads. You could go fifty sponsors, you could have a hundred sponsors. Maybe you could have a hundred sponsors, and only twenty-five of them were shown at any given time because you put them in a rotation. Maybe you only want to charge $50 for a sponsor. Maybe you want to charge $500. It really doesn’t matter, it’s up to you. And it all depends on the amount of people you have coming to your site to sign up for that contest.

If you’re selling fishing, it’s about fishing spots, fly tying, etc.

You, in effect, open a bookstore on your site. When the visitor on your site clicks on any one of those titles, they are carried instantly to the Amazon site where they can find out more about the book, the price, the size, the delivery schedule, what people have said about it, other comments about the writer – and you do nothing!

When the visitor from your site clicks on a book or title at Amazon.com it is instantly recorded and you are paid a small commission for that sale.

What you are doing is generating customers and traffic for Amazon. It’s a win-win situation because your customers are getting something they want (more information about products that you sell) and for doing nothing, frankly. The commission is pretty much free money, because you don’t have to pack the product, you don’t have to ship the product, you don’t warehouse it, you don’t have any money tied up in inventory.

You can do this for your own products, too! You don’t have to be an Amazon.com to make this work because there is software available from all sorts of sources that lets you operate your own affiliate program.

You get other sites to sign up as your affiliate. It doesn’t cost them anything, but you give them a piece of code (your software will do that for you) and they advertise or recommend your site. They can place a banner on their site or they can place an ordinary link. They can also write an article and recommend your site in that article – that is really the most powerful referral of all.

When the visitor at your affiliate site clicks on that link or banner ad, the same thing happens. They come directly to your site, they look at your material, and if they make a purchase on your site, your software automatically records that so that your affiliate gets paid.

In fact the software we use sends the affiliate a note that says, “Hey, you just made a sale at my site.” It sends our customer a note that says, “Thanks for making a purchase!” And it sends us a note that says, “It’s time to pay the affiliate.” It tells us when and for what and how much money to write the check for and who to send it to. It just doesn’t get much easier than that.

In effect, you create an army of other sites that are selling your products for you. It’s not a complicated arrangement to set up. You can grow it as large as you want it to grow.

Essentially it is like running a national advertising campaign, where you have TV spots and magazines all running your ads, but you don’t have to pay a penny unless those ads make you a sale. That’s the beauty of this - you don’t pay a penny unless your affiliates make you a sale. It’s per-inquiry advertising at the extreme. Keep Out Of Legal Trouble By Following These Four Rules!

There was a time when legal issues did not concern us that much. Starting out, we didn’t have much to lose. The longer we’ve been in the business, though, the longer we have realized that this attitude in the beginning was really very foolish. Legal aspects are really very important. Pay attention to them at all times.

Here we have given you several of the “black and white” rules. You must remember, though, there are many rules that are in the grey area, and you should try to learn them too.

If you follow the rules we are going to give you now, you will be able to avoid legal problems. The real key, though, is knowing how to treat people right. If you were to study most of the companies that ended up in trouble, you would find that they weren’t treating people well, whether it was dishonesty or whatever.

Here are the four “legal” rules that you must follow if you want to get rich:

1. A marketer cannot make false, or misleading, claims in advertising.
2. A marketer cannot ignore refund requests.

Doing these four things will keep the U.S. postal inspectors off your back so you can run your business without even thinking about them!

These rules are easy to understand and comply with. They do not represent a valid reason for avoiding the potentially tremendous money-making, mail-order business. But, there are operators who are either dishonest or just plain careless, and are being shut down after too many complaints have been received by the Better Business Bureau or the U.S. Post Office. Their loss, however, can be your gain!

Teaser copy is how to get people to read your mail and not throw it away. If you use some really good teaser copy printed on the outside of the direct-mail envelopes you send out to prospects and customers, people will get excited and will be much more willing to open that envelope and read what you have to tell them.

You have to test different teaser copy. Testing different things is how you find out which things work better than others, and teaser copy is no exception.

You do not want your envelopes to end up in the trash. You want that envelope to be opened so you can give them your sales pitch and your offer. Getting your prospects and customers to open that envelope is half the battle. Teaser copy is a great help when it comes to this cause.
