Make Money, And Have Fun Helping Your Community, Too!

A charity auction is a fun thing to do. Everybody brings items in and donates the items for free to the organization. That’s their donation, and therefore, whatever anybody bids on it is really a donation to the organization. But you’re getting the item you’re bidding on in return for your donation because the item was donated to begin with. There is no minimum that they have to get for each item, and it makes an exciting auction.

You could suggest an on-line charity auction for your local charity, and offer to handle everything. This is how you can literally save the day for your local charity, and earn money doing it. Instead of a live event at the local church auction, you would suggest that you have everyone bring donated items to the church.

You could even have volunteers. There are usually a few volunteers that will do a lot of the work for you and will be happy to help out, because they are there to help the charity. You could even have them go around and pick up donated items from each donating member’s home so they don’t even have to bring them in.

Next you take these donated items and spend one night or day taking pictures of them, if you have a digital camera, which we recommend. These days such cameras have become very inexpensive. If that won’t work, you can take Polaroid photos of the items and use a scanner to create pictures of them. Still, you don’t need any of this if you don’t want it or don’t have the money for it - you can simply use descriptions, and then enter each item into an auction site.

How You Could Make Up To A Million Dollars With Joint Ventures And Affiliate Programs!

The way we look at affiliate programs is very positive, and we’re sure they are great if you get hundreds and thousands of different sites to promote what you have, but we’re going to take a little bit different path here. We’re going to talk about using a little time and effort to get the very best web sites to sell your products and services. That means you have to spend some time finding out where the action is.

There are so many web sites today... We’re not even interested in joint marketing with a web site that gets two visits every week. Or five a month. We’re dealing with about fifty different individuals who are selling our products on the Internet, and on their web sites. But we have noticed in the past few months that only three of them are really sending any orders.

It’s the 80/20 rule. The 80/20 rules says you get 80% of your business from 20% of your customers.
Well, we’ve found the 80/20 rule really is a 5/95 rule and that is - 5% of your customers yield about 95% of your business in repeat orders and constant business. So what we think you should do is isolate a few dozen super web sites who sell items that are similar, but not identical, of course, to what you have.

Really go after these people. You want them to recommend your product, and you’ll pay them a nice commission of forty, or fifty, or even sixty percent. Go after some of the heavy hitters.

You need to give them a very, very good commission because, if they like your product, they will promote it. You want them to be well compensated. If you are selling information like so many of us are, you’ve got big enough mark ups to give the fifty and sixty percent.

An auction is a joint venture. We want you to look at Internet auctions now in a different way - Look at them as joint ventures.

A friend of ours had some wine that he bought in 1989. His daughter was born that year, and it was a great year in Bordeaux, France, for wine. So he bought all kinds of wine, and one wine he bought too much of was Lynch Badges.

The reason he bought it was because, historically, Michael Lynch left Ireland, went to France, and he ended up being the mayor of Bordeaux. He was quite the celebrity there and he ended up buying into the Badges Estate, and he called it Lynch Badges. The wine had an interesting history. People who were Irish and half French were interested in this wine.

The wine cost $34.95 which he thought was expensive. Now it has gone up to about $200 a bottle. So instead of $420 a case, it’s $2400 a case. He can put this wine up for auction on winebid.com. They’ll sell it. They might even get more than that for it, and he could make $2000 in profit per case!

The Internet wine auction house does it all. Our friend just ships the wine to the buyer UPS. When it’s all done, they send him a check.

Another thing you can sell online through joint ventures is subscriptions to a printed newsletter. Not an electronic newsletter, but a printed one like we publish. A friend of ours sells it on his web site. We do nothing. He has the site, he programs it, he pays for the hosting, he’s got the domain name, he set up the software, and he did all the HTML. People go there, they subscribe to our newsletter, and they send him the order. He keeps a percentage and forwards the rest to us. And those orders show up here just about every day!

It’s all through a joint venture.

Another way you can have a joint venture is to ride along in an e-zine. It is like a magazine but it’s totally done over the Internet, and is called an e-zine. You subscribe to these, which is what’s known as opt in. You pick the option of being on the list. The opt in name allows them to send this to you and it’s not what is known as “spam,” the Internet lingo term for junk e-mail. It’s something you subscribed to that they’ll send you on a weekly, monthly, or some other sort of scheduled basis.

The biggest one is joke-of-the-day.com and you can pay to ride along. About 300,000 people all over the world get that joke-of-the-day every single day, and there’s advertising that rides along with it.

That guy is making all his money selling advertising. He has no product or fulfillment. You can pay to ride along in there, and it is kind of a joint venture. But, instead of paying for the advertising, you could set it up as a joint profit potential venture.

We go to people at e-zines and we say “Gosh, this newsletter sells well. Why don’t you put a link, or why don’t you put this ad in your e-zine. When people read it and click on it, then you get to keep part of the money.” A lot of folks say “Well, that sounds great to me.”

You can do joint ventures with all these people who have e-zines, and there is a new one being hatched just about every darn day. So if you have any kind of a product, and you have any kind of electronic delivery system or even if you just mail it out like we do with our newsletter, you can piggyback with other people.

Also, if you go on the Internet and you do a search, no matter what you’re selling - if you sell a cookbook or if you sell a collectible plate it doesn’t matter - you search and let’s say you have a collectible plate of Elvis Presley. You search for Elvis or collectibles. You find all of these sites that sell this kind of material. Then you just start contacting them, one by one, saying, “How would you like to sell my product on your site? It is a beautiful site. It looks like you put a lot of time, money, and effort into it. Here’s another product - there are no strings attached - we’ve got a picture we took with a Sony Mavica Camera ...”

You can send the picture over the Internet, or you can just mail them the disk. They pop it in their computer and print the photo on their site. It works with E-Bay also. And then they sell your product and you fulfill.

Usually you give them more of the money. You don’t keep half and give them half, because they’re doing most of the work. So, generally, it is a 60/40 or 70/30 agreement. It just depends. If your fulfillment cost is very high you’ll need 40. If your fulfillment cost is really low, then you only need 30. This 30% just shows up like a Christmas present and you put it in your bank account.

How to “Pepper” Your Testimonials To Give Them More Of An Impact!

Testimonials are, of course, a very powerful tool to incorporate in sales copy. They provide proof that the claims in the copy are really obtainable, and they help justify purchasing the product in the mind of the prospect. But what many people don’t realize is that there is a tactic they can use to make their testimonials more powerful and more convincing!

A lot of people like to section their testimonials off from the rest of their copy in their own little group. This is, of course, better than not having any testimonials at all in the copy, but it does bring up a problem.

When prospects look at a block of testimonials one after another, they quickly recognize what they’re looking at - a load of things other people said being used to convince them to buy something.

BOOM! Resistance to the testimonials has instantly built up, and now those testimonials have a tough task to accomplish.

The answer to this problem is to scatter your testimonials throughout your sales copy - to “pepper” your sales copy with testimonials to give the whole thing spice. This is how to “pepper” your testimonials to give them more of an impact!

This is very similar except they’re putting up cash! What’s really neat is most link exchanges and banner exchange type systems don’t even require any money, just a little bit of time. The only money you would spend would be if you were paying someone to add that link or banner to say “a page of important links you need to know.” It’s very easy to do, very quick, and very inexpensive for any Internet service provider to update a page like this once or twice a month.

A real important resource out there is a company called Link Exchange. You provide them with a banner ad and the Web Address of your Site and they provide you with codes to place one banner ad on your Website. Here’s what’s interesting! How A Product We Made In ONE DAY’S TIME Helped Make Us A FORTUNE - And How You Could Do The Same Thing!

In this article I would like to cover a couple of the informational products that we’ve had over the last decade. We have produced literally hundreds of these products, and they keep getting easier.

That’s something we would like to share with you. The more you do, the easier it gets, until it becomes very, very simple. As long as you’re providing good information to your specific market, who cares if it just took you a day or less to put it together?

We produced our “$2,500 Weekend” program in one day. When we first found out about this business, we bought a book that was called Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars For A Few Hours Of Work Doesn’t Seem Fair. That book sold for a number of years. Even though I fell in love with the idea of self-publishing, we always thought, “We’ll never make $25,000 working a few hours.”

When you average out the time we spent on that one product versus the amount we made, we made over $50,000 an hour. That’s from taking the profits from that book, not from gross sales. So, it is possible. Again, you’re getting paid for the product sold. It doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of time that you spend on it.
